Jay-Z recently talked to MTV where he discussed how he wants to shoot two more videos for The Blueprint 3 before he begins working on a new album.

“I wanna shoot ‘Venus vs. Mars,’ ” he told MTV News last weekend in Dallas. “I may shoot two — I shot ‘Run This Town’ [and 'D.O.A. (Death of Auto Tune)'], I been shooting two at the same time. I’ll probably shoot ‘Venus’ and maybe ‘A Star Is Born.’ But I definitely wanna shoot ‘Venus’ — I got an amazing concept in my mind.” (MTV)

Jay also said that he’s in the beginning process of working on a new album, but that the concept has not been fully developed yet.

“I don’t know,” he said. “I didn’t really start yet. I got a couple of scraps and I got a couple of ideas. I didn’t really go into the studio yet. I’ve been toying with ideas and direction and things like that. “I got one crazy record. To be honest with you, it’s crazy. I got one and we’ll build from there. Whether it comes out this year or next year, it depends on the music and how it’s coming out. I don’t really have any dates.” (MTV)

Jay-Z kicked off his BP3 tour last weekend in Houston, TX which will continue through March and wrap up at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA on the 26th.

Ludacris Releases “My Chick Bad” Video

Author: xpozintern1 | Filed under: News

Luda

Ludacris has just released the video for his second single, “My Chick Bad” featuring Nicki Minaj from his upcoming seventh studio album, Battle of the Sexes. The video is a pretty basic Hip Hop video with girls dancing in the background, except for Nicki Minaj who decides to channel a bit of Freddy Krueger during her verse. I would expect nothing less from Ms. Minaj.

It seems as if Lil Wayne’s postponement of his incarceration date in order to take a trip to the dentist was a bigger deal than initially expected. The Young Money leader reportedly went in for oral surgery on Tuesday, and received eight root canals.

According to TMZ, the surgery took over eight hours, and other than the root canals Weezy also had tooth implants inserted, others redone, and his remaining teeth restored.

A judge granted Wayne a temporary postponement of his jail sentence for gun charges early this month, after he complained of dental problems and insisted he needed surgery.

The southern rapper is now expected to begin his prison sentence next month.

Southern producer Mike Dean recently leaked the news to HipHopDX that he is indeed working with Scarface on a new album.

“I’m working on Scarface’s album,” Dean told HipHopDX. “It’s sounding good. We just scored a feature from John Legend on there. I hooked him up with John, making shit happen. I don’t know what’s up with the album or a release date or anything, we’re just working on a few songs right now. For the last few albums, I haven’t had much on his albums because we haven’t been in the studio together. He’ll do music somewhere else and bring it to me” (HipHopDX)

Dean has down a lot of production on Scarface’s albums in the past including 1994’s The Diary, 1998’s My Homies, 2000’s The Last of a Dying Breed, 2002’s The Fix, and many more.
