Canadian rapper k-os recently did an interview with Hip Hop Dx, and told them that he will be releasing a collaboration song with Drake.
The joint track is a song titled “Faith,” which k-os said him and Drake plan to put out two months after the release of the Young Money artists debut album, Thank Me Later, in March.
According to k-os, the track will most likely be sold exclusively through Itunes, and he says fans may be surprised by the direction of the song, musically and lyrically.
“It’s hard to hold it in, ‘cause everybody who has heard it…they love it,” k-os explained. “I would say it’s like Al Green meets – It’s very soulful. It was a track that was already created [that] he had a verse on, then I jumped on and I added some stuff to it… It has this kind of soul element to it, so I think for him…for both of us, people are gonna be surprised musically what it sounds like for him, and they’re gonna be surprised lyrically and style-wise what I come with. ‘Cause, people consider me to be the abstract, conscious [emcee]. [But] this is my moment to show, yeah I can do [something different]. So it’s fun; it’s gonna be great. I’m excited.” (HipHopDX)
Besides working with Drake, k-os said he collaborated with both Kardinal Offishall and Saukrates on a song called “The Two,” which is set to be released later in the year. The U.S. release of his album, Yes!, is scheduled to hit shelves on February 23.
