Jay-Z recently talked to MTV where he discussed how he wants to shoot two more videos for The Blueprint 3 before he begins working on a new album.

“I wanna shoot ‘Venus vs. Mars,’ ” he told MTV News last weekend in Dallas. “I may shoot two — I shot ‘Run This Town’ [and 'D.O.A. (Death of Auto Tune)'], I been shooting two at the same time. I’ll probably shoot ‘Venus’ and maybe ‘A Star Is Born.’ But I definitely wanna shoot ‘Venus’ — I got an amazing concept in my mind.” (MTV)

Jay also said that he’s in the beginning process of working on a new album, but that the concept has not been fully developed yet.

“I don’t know,” he said. “I didn’t really start yet. I got a couple of scraps and I got a couple of ideas. I didn’t really go into the studio yet. I’ve been toying with ideas and direction and things like that. “I got one crazy record. To be honest with you, it’s crazy. I got one and we’ll build from there. Whether it comes out this year or next year, it depends on the music and how it’s coming out. I don’t really have any dates.” (MTV)

Jay-Z kicked off his BP3 tour last weekend in Houston, TX which will continue through March and wrap up at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA on the 26th.

Ludacris has just released the video for his second single, “My Chick Bad” featuring Nicki Minaj from his upcoming seventh studio album, Battle of the Sexes. The video is a pretty basic Hip Hop video with girls dancing in the background, except for Nicki Minaj who decides to channel a bit of Freddy Krueger during her verse. I would expect nothing less from Ms. Minaj.

In a recent interview with the Associated Press, Akon announced that Dr. Dre has been working on a dance record.

When discussing his labels leading lady, Lady Gaga, Akon said he was also excited that some of Hip Hop’s biggest players were creating dance music.

“You got some straight, hardcore Hip Hop guys actually moving into the dance realm,” Akon said. “And that’s shocking when you got someone like Dr. Dre about to do a dance record…that’s crazy.” (AP)

Akon said that he has heard the Dre record, and was blown away by what Dre did with it.

“It actually sounds great. He played it for me. I was shocked. So I was like ‘Wow, that’s dope. When the world hears this, they might go crazy.’ … When you’ve got the two worlds mixed together, clashing, it’s going to be a monster.” (AP)

Dr. Dre has been busy working on his highly anticipated project, Detox, but there is no word on whether the dance track will be included on the album.

It seems as if Lil Wayne’s postponement of his incarceration date in order to take a trip to the dentist was a bigger deal than initially expected. The Young Money leader reportedly went in for oral surgery on Tuesday, and received eight root canals.

According to TMZ, the surgery took over eight hours, and other than the root canals Weezy also had tooth implants inserted, others redone, and his remaining teeth restored.

A judge granted Wayne a temporary postponement of his jail sentence for gun charges early this month, after he complained of dental problems and insisted he needed surgery.

The southern rapper is now expected to begin his prison sentence next month.

So Icey artist Waka Flocka Flame plans to release 20 albums by the year 2011.

Yes, you heard that right.

According to Vibe, so far, the rapper has three albums in the works which include, Murda Man Flocka, Salute Me or Shoot Me Volume 2, and Salute Me or Shoot Me Volume 3.

It seems like kind of a far-fetched goal, but we’ll see if he’s able to reach it.

Waka Flocka’s current single “O Let’s Do It” has been climbing up the charts, and his second single “Rumors” is scheduled to be released within the upcoming month.

The 23-year-old, who acts as 1/5 of the group 1017 Brick Squad, along with Gucci Mane, Frenchie, Wooh Da Kid, and OJ Da Juiceman, made headlines in January after being robbed and shot outside of a car wash in Atlanta, Georgia.
