The company Christian Casey LLC, which runs Diddy’s Sean John clothing line, is sueing their New York City landlord for 2.5 million.

According to BET, The lawsuit comes after Sean John leased part of a Fifth Avenue ground floor building in Manhattan which was made into a store. In 2006, the landlord reportedly put up a sidewalk scaffolding in front of the store causing business to drop nearly 50% due to the platform, “substantially obstructed the view of the clothing and furnishings displayed in the ground floor windows.”

The company is suing the landlord for 2.5 million due to their loss.

Drake recently confirmed that he has  finished a track with Jay Z titled “Light Up” for his debut album, Thank Me Later.

The Canada native announced back in June about how everyone was pushing him to do a collaboration with Jay, and now the song has become a reality.

“When I heard that beat, the drums that they had come up with, it was like, ‘Man, this is a moment,’ ‘This sounds like where I’m at in my life.’ So, we took it and 40 did what he does to pieces of music that I see potential in — he took it to the next spot. Jay-Z’s on it. The song is phenomenal. It’s done now,” Drake said. (MTV)

The Noah “40″ Shebib produced track marks the second collaboration between the rappers after Drake was featured on Jay’s song “Off That” from The Blueprint 3, but this is the first time the two will be rapping on a track (Drake sang the chorus on “Off That”).

Aside from Jay Z, Drake plans on having collaborations with Kanye West, Lil Wayne, and possibly Sade on his album.

Thank Me Later is set to drop in stores March 2010.

Diddy is joining forces with CIROC Vodka this New Years to provide free rides in New York and Las Vegas.

This is the second year in a row Diddy will be bringing his Safe Rides program to New York to help those on New Years Eve pay for taxi fares as well as subway rides, but this is the first year the service will be introduced to Las Vegas.

“New York stands as the world’s icon for a New Year’s Eve celebration and Las Vegas is the biggest party destination in the country. By bringing this program to both of these great cities we will continue to show the rest of the country that a sophisticated holiday celebration doesn’t end when the ball drops, but when everyone gets home safely,” Diddy said.

During the evening of New Years Eve CIROC will distribute $15 pre-paid taxi cards throughout both cities, and MTA cards with a one-way fare for those riding the subway in New York.

Besides free rides, Diddy will also be giving away new music in new year with the release of his sixth studio album, Last Train To Paris, coming early 2010.

Reports have been circulating that the recently prison released rapper Shyne may be working on a new album with producer Scott Storch.

In a recent interview Storch hinted at the possibility of a collaboration with Shyne.

“Yeah, Shyne’s my man. I’ve been talking to him and I was talking to him all through his prison sentence. He’s always remained a loyal person to me…I’m looking forward to doing, not just one record, but doing a chunk on his album… He’s in full effect. He’s got people sending him tracks. I have a feeling he’s going to make a really huge album… He’s got a lot to say,” Storch said. (AllHipHop)

This is the second time this month that reports of a Shyne album have surfaced. Radio personality Angie Martinez recently took to her twitter to announce that producers have been flying to Belize to see Shyne and that new “music is coming” from him.

This past August, Shyne was released from prison and deported to Belize after serving 9 years for his involvement in 1999’s Club New York shootings. The rapper is currently listed as a featured artist on DJ Khaled’s upcoming album, Victory.
